$1,310 to Ruggles Scholarship Fund

We are pleased to announce the contribution of $1,310 to our club's scholarship fund. This is for the Financial Years 2015 and 2016.

The Y2015 contribution was a total of $510 from 13 club member donors. And the Y2016 was a big uptick to $800 from 20 club member donors.

Our new practice is to report the individual contributors along with the check, so that a contribution to the Club is recognized as a contribution to the College.

Newport Polo Was a Blast

We had a big group from Dartmouth + a great All Ivy Turn out for a big win at Newport Polo on July 16th, 2016. We will try to do this one again next year. See Photos on our Facebook Site

Doing Something Fun and Want to Help the Club?

Contact us via the email link on the About DCRI page. We always need help on the executive committee and are happy to work with you to organize an event - large or micro, could be as simple as getting a few folks together to canoe or bike ride.

Spring 2016 Lineup Coming Together

The club's exec team is busy planning club business and preparing for an excellent Spring of 2016.

For those of you that haven't paid your dues or made donations, please visit the DUES page to contribute now. We need the dues for core club functions and to finance some events. Donations made to the Ruggles scholarship are reported to the College for your record, so please remember that a gift to our scholarship fund is a gift to the College.

Upcoming events appear in our Events listing. We are planning:

  • Sound of Music at PPAC - March 13th. One of our fellow alums is in the musical and can meet us before the show.
  • New Admit Welcome - April 10th. A chance for admitted students to meet each other and learn about Dartmouth
  • Piano Bar - Date TBD - Give a rouse and a cheer. Sing or just come along for the ride.
  • Day of Service - May 7th. Work with Nature Conservancy on our shores or trails
  • Annual Meeting and Dinner - May 10th. Come see the new Amos House and enjoy a catered meal
  • Newport Polo Tailgate - August 6th. Join other Ivy's for an afternoon watching Polo

HELP!? We are always looking for help with events so let us know if you have a venue or home you can open up. And, additional participation on the exec team is always needed.

Holiday Party with the Aires

A great turnout, scrumptious snacks and the Aires performance made this year's holiday party a smashing success! 70+ members from the Providence area came to the Dueling Pianos on Point Street to mingle and enjoy the music.

Here's hoping the rest of everyone's holiday season was just as warm and entertaining,

Moving Dartmouth Forward

Dear Club Members -- I encourage all of you to learn about the Moving Dartmouth Forward campaign and President Phil Hanlon's plan which was announced yesterday, January 29th.

In particular, the underpinnings of the plan come from the Presidential Steering Committee’s Final Report (PDF). This document should be "required reading" to understand the thinking and the data which drove the recommendations.
